Lisa Marlo has been working as a "scribe", aka calligrapher in Greenville, South Carolina for over 20 years.

 

With a keen interest in math and history, calligraphy always appealed to Lisa Marlo.  As calligraphy is math based

at its core, this art form became a natural love affair for the artist.

 

You may ask yourself, "Is calligraphy math or art"?  In the end, the finished product of all calligraphy is art.  

However, learning and becoming proficient at this art form requires spatial recognition, patterns and shapes-with a 

heavy emphasis on mathematical characteristics.

 

As this skill set called calligraphy is a bit of a "lost art",this day and age, Lisa Marlo takes great pride

in sharing with her clients and friends this very special and unique art form-which is her gift.

 

After all, the first impression for all weddings is the invitation received in the mail and the beginning of making a brides 

dream come true.

 

As timing is everything and calendars fill up...dont delay in getting started.

 

Six months to a year before the wedding invites are mailed is a great time to start this journey!
